Our challenge - how to achieve a textured finish throughout this 'brick veneer interiors' brochure that must have a soft-touch (velvet) laminated cover and consistent colouring throughout.
We worked with our customer to achieve the perfect finish - an uncoated paper for the inside pages to achieve a 'textured' feel. The cover was more of a challenge - how to maintain that texture on the inside (important to keep the feel and the colours consistent) without affecting the soft-touch laminate on the outside. Uncoated paper can be laminated depending on the design - a dark colour or image is never ideal as it will appear mottled. So we chose a one-sided board which is coated on one side but not the other.
