Marketing consultancy Jackfruit Marketing commissioned us to design and print an eye-catching new brochure for their language school and student accommodation client, Stay Campus London.
The Jackfruit team knew they wanted to incorporate a ‘volvelle’ spinning wheel into the design, but needed our experience to make it happen.
First up was creating the structural mechanism to hold the spinning wheel disc in place, without the use of unsightly rivets. Our paper engineering team created the template to include two windows as a ‘IF-THEN’ scenario (check out the video to see how this works).
Our design team then worked with Jackfruit and the end user to establish a new visual identity for the brand, then apply this to the entire brochure and inserts.
The brochure also had a capacity pocket inside the back cover to hold a range of inserts, and 8pp of text stitched in.
All of this was delivered within an extremely tight deadline, in time for an important sales event for Stay Campus London.
This project involved a huge number of people working together in a broad range of specialities to create what is a structurally and visually stunning brochure set. The inclusion of a volvelle spinner disc to the cover is technically very challenging but it was achieved through teamwork and a lot of skill.
It’s only fair on everyone involved to award this one our Project of the Month award!
It is our very own awards programme launched in January 2018. We get to see hundreds of examples of creative, beautiful marketing every month and we wanted to recognise and reward those marketers who are bold enough to push the boat out. Each month, we shortlist the most innovative, daring and creative marketing projects that we print and choose one overall winner. It’s all part of our drive to make marketers’ lives easier and more rewarding.
