Brief

This month's award-winning project is a 3D pop-up mailer for our client the NEC in Birmingham. They wanted to create a 3D visual experience that would involve multi-layered pop-up elements; something to give their target audience an in-your-face touch of wow factor!

Action

As one of the UK's leading experts in pop-up and 3D printing, NEC hired us to create their mailer to perfection. We took their initial idea and worked on the structure to finetune the mechanics of the pop-up elements. After working through the test phases and supplying our client with a pre-production dummy to make sure they were happy with our work, we then recommended a spot gloss UV varnish to highlight some of the most important features and ensure the key messages were at the forefront.

Result

This pop-up mailer uses multi-layered elements to create a stunning 3D effect, harnessing the power of paper engineering. They gave us a bold brief that meant we could give this piece the attention it deserved. Finished off with the delicate touches of spot UV varnish, this mailer is one of the most eye-opening pieces of creative direct mail we've seen! Worthy winner of this month's Project of the Month award.
