Project of the Month Award Winner
Puppetcraft owner John Roberts came to us for help in creating his manual, a labour of love for him and one which he wanted to make sure was absolutely perfect.
Initially we explored a cased-in wire-bound style of binding to hold the manual together. We developed a pre-production sample and then decided with our client that a ring-binder style would suit the project much better given the increased page count. This also meant that Puppetcraft's customers could add in their own notes or other leaves as time went on.
We selected a nice sturdy board for the binders which was wrapped with a laminated print, then fine-tuned the ring mechanism to be just right for the number of leaves. We produced pre-production samples in a number of options for the leaves so that our client could easily make the decision for paper weight and finish. The finishing touch was then added with a nice grey rivet to complement our client's cover design.
