A mini concertina fold leaflet may be small but it certainly isn’t forgotten. In fact, it’s actually one of our most popular products and we’re not surprised because of its versatility.
With the evolution of always-on technology, your clients need something that’s as portable and convenient as a smartphone. We have the solution: the beauty of concertina folding is that a pocket-sized leaflet can hold a surprisingly thorough range of info.
We think that mini concertina leaflets are pretty special just as they are, although if you want to embellish your leaflets for extra stand-out then we’d recommend you consider some of our print finishes or different materials.
For example, you might want to consider a spot UV varnish or foil block to complement the printing and pick out special elements. Likewise, you can choose a different paper such as a nice tactile uncoated or even something like an embossed or metallic paper for some real wow factor.
However, we don’t recommend a laminate as this can make the leaflet very springy and difficult to close.

How can you use Mini Concertina leaflets?
You need to set this up as two pages (one for each side of the leaflet when completely unfolded) so that we can print everything in the correct order. It’s always best to make up a dummy so that you can be sure which panels will be your front and back covers. This is because we’ve found it’s an awful lot easier to visualise the artwork on a physical dummy!
As a result, when you set it up in this way with the correct bleeds and a good 5mm clearance around all cut edges (to make sure no important text or imagery will be cut off) you will really notice the difference in print quality. If you’re stuck however, do give us a shout and we can help you with templates or even preparing the artwork for you.
This will depend on the size and we’ve detailed a handy guide to the maximum number of panels for each of the most popular sizes in the section above. However, remember that these are based on a portrait layout and if you want it to fold in landscape then there will have to be less panels. This is because our printing and folding is limited by the overall length of the leaflet when unfolded.
Generally, we recommend that a 150gsm – 170gsm is a good all-rounder. This is because it’s a decent quality for a leaflet but also not too thick so as to make the leaflet too springy, especially if there are a lot of folds. We have produced concertina leaflets on almost every paper weight though, from 80gsm up to 350gsm. To help you decide, we recommend you ask us for samples so that you can see and feel a few options.
